Dear Families,
Elaine Winter
Thank you for your interest in Claremont Preparatory School. Since its founding in 2005, CPS has grown as both an extraordinary educational institution and dynamic downtown community. Claremont welcomes families of all backgrounds and configurations.
Above all, Claremont Prep is a community of learners, children and young adults who engage productively with the arts, with ideas, and with each other to make the most of their learning opportunities. It is also a community of families - Lower Manhattan, New York City and international families, many of whom play active roles in their children's school lives. Finally, Claremont is a community of highly talented, highly committed educators who inspire students to question, reflect, imagine, empathize and aspire to greatness.
I hope this inspires you to visit. Located in the financial district, the CPS campus consists of two buildings: the Lower School at 41 Broad Street and the nearby Middle and High Schools at 1 Morris Street. Each building offers spacious, state-of-the-art facilities, including libraries, technology and science labs, art studios, music/performance spaces, fully equipped gymnasiums and swimming pools, and much more.
During the summer months, a small number of openings arise for the approaching school year. If you have questions about immediate enrollment, please contact the Admissions Office at 212.232.0266, or email me directly at the address below. Our office will accept applications for the 2011/12 school year beginning on September 7, 2010.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Very truly yours,
Elaine Winter
