Jane Eisenstadt comes to Claremont Preparatory School with 30 years of experience in New York City and suburban independent schools both as a teacher and an administrator. Before coming to Claremont in 2007, she was the Middle School Director at Lawrence Woodmere Academy, an independent school on Long Island’s south shore, for 13 years. Prior to that she was an Instructor at NYU in the Department of Teaching and Learning where in addition to teaching courses, she supervised student teachers placed in New York City public and independent schools. Jane received her BA in English from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts; she also attended the Private School Leadership program at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Jane is actively involved in the New York State of Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) where she serves on the faculty of the Beginning Teachers Institute and has been on numerous school accreditation evaluations.
