The Math curriculum's goal is to ensure our Middle School students have a solid knowledge of fundamental mathematics skills and their underlying concepts while providing the opportunities and experiences to become analytical thinkers. We use an active, hands-on approach to support their conceptual understanding and emphasize mastery of skills to help them become fluent in math reasoning. Fifth and Sixth grade students study operations on whole numbers, fraction and decimals and integers, ratios, percents and proportion, geometric language and relationships, measurement, graphing and algebraic thinking. Seventh and Eight grade students' course of study cover algebra to preparing them for geometry at the start of high school.
